Team Dignitas has parted ways with its Danish Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team, the team announced today.

That Danish squad of Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen, Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke, Ruben "RUBINO" Villarroel, René "cajunb" Borg, and Emil "Magiskb0Y" Reif is currently in the process of finding a new home, following the decision.

While it was announced to be mutual, the decision was initiated by the team in hopes of finding somewhere new, according to a statement by the players. It's unknown whether the team is already in talks with other organizations. The statement also says that the team will stay together to compete at the 2016 World Electronic Sports Games finals and the ELeague Major in January.

Team Dignitas, for its part, also announced today that it will be looking to field a North American team. While the organization has primarily held European teams, aside from the majority of its campaign in League of Legends, it was recently purchased by the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers, who are based fully in the United States.

Over the past few months, the Counter-Strike team has seen increasingly better performances across multiple events, including a recent qualification for the ELeague Major in January in Atlanta. The team won Epicenter 2016 in Moscow over the likes of Fnatic, Natus Vincere (Na`Vi), and Virtus.pro, taking home $250,000 in the process.
