Dignitas part ways with founder, GM ODEE

Dignitas mutually parted ways with founder and general manager Michael "ODEE" O'Dell, the team announced Wednesday on social media.

The company added it will soon appoint a general manager who will operate in Los Angeles alongside its new League of Legends Championship Series franchise.

ODEE has not been the CEO of the organization since it was acquired by the Philadelphia 76ers in 2016, and his departure continues a trend of change at Dignitas. The company rebranded in October, dropping "Team" from its name and unveiling a new logo, before being acquired by the Houston Rockets last month and announcing plans to rejoin the LCS.

ODEE is based in the U.K., where Dignitas operated before moving to the U.S.

He founded the company in 2003. Dignitas fielded teams in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends, Rocket League, SMITE, Super Smash Bros. Melee and more during his tenure.
