News: 18 hours agoLove (groin) was a full practice participant Wednesday.
Spin: Love exited early during the Packers' Week 8 win at Jacksonville due to a strained groin but was able to play every snap in a Week 9 loss to the Lions. He struggled in rainy conditions in the latter contest, completing 23 of 39 passes for 273 yards, no touchdowns and one interception while being credited with three fumbles, none of which he lost. With the team's Week 9 bye to heal up, Love is good to go moving forward, but running backs Josh Jacobs (quadriceps) and MarShawn Lloyd (ankle/hamstring) both were limited participants Wednesday, leaving the backfield in some flux ahead of Sunday's contest at Chicago.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Love returns as Green Bay's quarterback after leading the Packers to the playoffs as a first-year starter in 2023. While expectations were low considering his limited NFL action and young supporting cast, Love proved doubters wrong by finishing as fantasy's QB7. That includes six top-10 finishes in his final eight games. Love was eighth or better in passing yards, attempts, completions and aDOT, while also finishing second in passing touchdowns and posting a 3-to-1 TD/INT ratio. Love could use his legs a little more, but with his success in 2023 and all of his exciting, young pass-catchers returning, Love should be viewed as a fringe QB1 in 2024.
