DENVER - Las Vegas Raiders'quarterback Gardner Minshew's attempt to throw his second touchdown pass of the day to tight end Brock Bowers turned into a little slice of history for Denver Broncos' cornerback Pat Surtain II on Sunday.
On a first-and-goal from the Broncos' 5-yard line, Minshew rolled left and overthrew Bowers. Surtain, who was shadowing Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers, snatched the errant throw and sprinted up the Broncos' sideline for 100-yard touchdown return.
It the second-longest pick-six interception in team history -- Aqib Talib had a 103-yard touchdown return in 2017. It was the longest interception return of Surtain's career, his first interception of the season and the eighth in his career.
Officials initially threw a flag during the return near the Broncos' bench as linebacker Jonah Elliss had blocked Minshew, but the flagged was picked up.
Surtain's return tied the game, 10-10.
