The Seattle Seahawks acquired defensive tackle Roy Robertson-Harris in a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday.
Seattle is giving up a 2026 sixth-round draft pick in the trade, a source told ESPN.
The Seahawks' announcement said that the trade is pending a physical and that Robertson-Harris was still in London as of Monday, with the Jaguars playing back-to-back games there.
Robertson-Harris, 31, gives the Seahawks a reinforcement for a defense that has been short-handed over the past three weeks and has struggled badly against the run.
Undrafted out of UTEP in 2016, Robertson-Harris (6-foot-5, 290) spent his first five seasons with the Chicago Bears and had been with Jacksonville since 2021. He has 19 sacks and 26 tackles for loss in 106 career games, including two sacks and three TFLs in six games this season.
The Seahawks have allowed the third-most rushing yards in the NFL over their three-game losing streak that followed a 3-0 start.
They've played without several key players over that stretch, including rookie defensive tackle Byron Murphy II. Seattle's first-round pick has a chance to return from his hamstring injury this week, but the Seahawks just put outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu -- their top edge player -- on injured reserve, and he might not be back until the end of the season.
The Jaguars signed Robertson-Harris to a three-year extension in February 2023 worth $21.6 million with $14.4 million guaranteed, putting him under contract through the 2026 season. He had one year remaining on the contract he signed with the Jaguars in March 2021.
He has 11.5 sacks, 123 tackles and 7 pass breakups in his three-plus seasons with the Jaguars. He has played in 50% of the team's defensive snaps this season at tackle and end, but his production has dipped from the prior two seasons. He has played in every game but has just seven tackles and four quarterback hits.
This is the second trade between Seattle and Jacksonville over the past month and a half. The Seahawks acquired outside linebacker Trevis Gipson from the Jaguars in late August for a 2025 sixth-round pick.
Gipson, a teammate of Robertson-Harris in 2020 in Chicago and this past offseason in Jacksonville, called him a physical player who runs to the ball and gives maximum effort.
"He comes from a small school," Gipson said, "so he has that chip on his shoulder."
Gipson added: "He's a relentless worker, a family guy, real down to earth, real respectful guy. But he works hard. He makes sure he takes care of business. He makes sure he shares his experience with younger players, which is a good thing for the young guys that we have in the front. Besides that, he just plays with a chip on his shoulder. He's from a small school, Texas kid. He works hard."
