Scotland's Clarke: Facing Denmark is the 'cup final we all wanted' (1:13)

Steve Clarke previews Scotland's clash against Denmark at Hampden Park for a place in the World Cup. (1:13)

A pair of extra-time goals from Kieran Tierney and Kenny McLean gave Scotland a 4-2 win over Denmark on the last day of UEFA qualifying and a spot in the World Cup for the first time since 1998.

Scott McTominay opened the scoring Tuesday at Hampden Park with a superb bicycle kick goal three minutes into the match, but Rasmus Højlund levelled the score to dampen the hopes of Scotland, who needed a win to secure top spot in Group C and an automatic bid.

After Lawrence Shankland and Patrick Dorgu traded goals in the second half, Tierney and McLean stepped up with a pair of outrageous goals to send the home crowd into delirium as Scott Clarke's side came out victorious.

Here is how the action unfolded.
