Team Liquid has finalized its 2017 North American League Championship Series team roster, sources close to the organization tell ESPN.
The team will promote two of its former Team Liquid Academy lineup to its main roster: mid laner Greyson "Goldenglue" Gilmer and 2013 World Champion AD carry Chae "Piglet" Gwang-jin. It will also retain two from its main lineup in top laner Samson "Lourlo" Jackson and support Matthew "Matt" Elento. These four moves come after it signed former Immortals jungler Kim "Reignover" Yeu-jin in mid-November, as reported by ESPN.
The lineup is currently in South Korea bootcamping for the 2017 season.
The team's two previous junglers, Joshua "Dardoch" Hartnett and Galen "Moon" Holgate, have departed the roster, with the former signing with Immortals and the latter moving into an analyst position until he finds a new team.
Former mid laner Kim "FeniX" Jae-hun's future is currently uncertain, but he will not be able to compete with Team Liquid as both Reignover and Piglet fill the team's maximum two import slots per Riot Games' interregional movement policy.
The finalization of its roster marks the end to an active offseason for the team. Throughout that time period of October and November, it attempted to work with several different players, including former ROX Tigers top laner Song "Smeb" Kyung-ho, Immortals mid laner Eugene "Pobelter" Park and former Immortals support Adrian "Adrian" Ma. Each of those players have opted to play with other lineups for 2017.
Promoting Piglet and Goldenglue comes after the team sold off Team Liquid Academy's Challenger Series spot to multigame esports organization eUnited, sources say.
